All-American Girl

Happy week of the Fourth of July everyone! Ever since I have been little, this week is one of my most favourites out of the year. There are so many fun traditions that happen at this time of year, and the food… what can I say? I think that my most favorite meal of the year is on the Fourth of July! Ya’ll can have the Thanksgiving feasts, give me the ribs, brats, wings, corn, potato salad and all the other yumminess that tastes like this time of year! Every year my family goes over to my grandma’s house and we all celebrate together. She cooks some of the most amazing food around (I mean, did you hear that menu up above?!) and we bring over fireworks and we all enjoy spending time together staying up late until well after the sun has gone to bed (which is basically midnight this time of year). Some of my most favorite memories growing up are centered around this holiday, and while a lot in life looks different right now because of the pandemic, I look forward to the quality time that I know I am going to get to spend with my loved ones next weekend!

Another fun part of the Fourth of July that I have always loved is all the patriotic themed outfits! (Are you surprised?) I think that just about every year around this time I get the itch to add at least one more red, white or blue piece to my wardrobe to have fun spicing things up. By now I’ve already been wearing patriotic colours for about a week and they will definitely continue everyday from now through…. sometime in the middle of July, lol. I thought it would be fun to share a couple of fun patriotic looks that would be so cute for different types of celebrations, no matter what you may have planned (I may have also had fun and named each outfit… just maybed….)!

Stars and Stripes… Mostly Stripes

Dress: Madewell (also here) | Jacket: WildFable | Flip-flops: Amazon | Earrings: Baublebar- sold out (similar)

This fun little t-shirt dress is so cute for both the Fourth of July as well as all summer. My favorite way to wear it is with a cute denim jacket tied around the waist to give it more shape.

BBQ And Booms

Dress: Rachel Parcell- sold out (similar) | Hoop Earrings: Same | Flip-flops: Amazon

I love the idea of taking a normally more dressy piece like this ruffled shirt dress and dressing it down with some simple flip-flops or even better yet, barefoot for a fun evening with family at a BBQ or playing corn hole. Throw your hair into some cute pigtails and you will totally be rocking the girl next door look!

Bold Stripes and Bright Stars

Dress: old- Similar here, here, here and here | Keds: Same | Heart Sunglasses: Amazon

“She’s a grand old flag, a high flying flag…” This dress is the perfect take you from one even to the next piece. It is so darling paired with keds, but would look just as cute with a pair of wedges if you have a more dressy event in the afternoon. My favorite accessory to wear with it is definitely the flag!

It’s a Party in the U.S.A

USA T-Shirt: Pink Lily | Shorts: Agolde (also available here, and here | Heart Sunglasses: Amazon

Can you even be patriotic if you don’t own at least one cute Americana tee? When I saw this one back at Memorial Day I knew that it was the PERFECT tee to add to my Fourth of July collection! It pairs so cutely with my favorite cut-off shorts and creates the perfect, relaxed outfit to wear spending a day celebrating with family and friends.

Born in the U.S.A.

Dress: Knox Rose | Cowgirl Boots: Gianni Bini- old (similar) | Purse: Amazon

What can I say? Patriotic holidays have a way of bringing out the cowgirl in me. Anyone else? I love this cute red dress, and as you’ll see, I styled it two different ways, but I could not resist just how cute it looks with white cowgirl boots!

Let Sparks Fly

Star Sneakers: Inspired Boutique

Ya’ll, just how cute is the exact same dress just paired with these cute star sneakers? It’s a more casual look than the previous way I styled it, but with the stars on the sneakers, it is the PERFECT running around with family on the Fourth look!

Salute to America

Eyelet Jumpsuit: Gianni Bini- old (similar, similar) | Purse: Mar’Y Sol | Pearl Slides: Leith- sold out (similar)

This sweet look feels like it just walked out of some Americana painting would be so perfect for a night out watching the fireworks. I kept it simple and purposely didn’t bring in as much red and blue and let the white just speak for itself.

What will you be wearing for your Fourth of July celebrations this year? I haven’t decided which look to wear yet, I love them all too much to decide!
